Trade union officer Trevor Hall said: “Since the Tories came to power, rail fares have risen by 32%, so it was no wonder our message was well-received by frustrated and hard-up commuters. Labour will bring our railways back into public ownership, which means capped fares, better, more reliable services and investment.”
